A Vintage Green Bay Packers Helmet Wood Resin Wall Clock typically falls into a price range of $50.00 to $80.00 on secondary marketplaces like eBay and Etsy, depending heavily on its manufacturing era, dimensions, and cosmetic condition.
These timepieces generally feature a heavy wooden plaque backer, a high-gloss pour (epoxy resin or thick lacquer) over a vibrant screen-printed helmet graphic, and a standard battery-operated quartz mechanism. The Minute and Hour hands on this product are Loose or Broken and do not move.
- Wood-Grain and Hand-Painted Plaques: Many early-to-mid 1990s designs feature a dark wood or wood-grain finish plaque with a hand-painted or molded helmet and team logo graphic.
- Resin and Stone-Look Plaques: Other collectible variations use heavy molded resin or a gray stone-like/lacquered finish molded into team shapes or shadow box frames.
- Power Source: They generally rely on a single AA battery powering a quartz analog mechanism.
- Standard Vintage Plaque Clocks ($35.00 – $55.00): This tier represents mass-produced licensed or high-quality unbranded pieces from the late 1980s through the 1990s. They are typically rectangular or shield-shaped wood panels with a glossy laminated face showing the classic Packers helmet logo.
- Premium Poured-Resin & Custom Shovel/Guitar Shapes ($60.00 – $85.00): Items featuring unique novelty cutouts—such as clocks shaped like a guitar body or a sports shovel with a thick, glass-like resin pour—command a slight premium due to their distinct visual style.
- High-End Licensed Editions ($100.00 – $285.00+): Elite collectible brands like The Bradford Exchange or Imperial produce specialty wood-framed pieces. These include the Bradford Exchange Legacy Cuckoo Clock (featuring sculpted side helmets and a fruitwood finish) retailing around $150.00, and the Imperial Oak Barrel Top Clock crafted from authentic charred whiskey barrels, which commands $249.00 to $285.00.
Insight into Rare & Collectible Variants
- 1970s–1980s Formed Acrylic & Wood Layers: The earliest licensed variations utilize a layered construction—a wood base topped with a molded acrylic or early resin shield featuring vintage gray-facemask helmet designs. These are increasingly difficult to find with uncracked faces and functional original quartz motors.
- Handmade & Small-Batch Artisan Pieces: Authentic mid-century or 1970s regional craft pieces made from solid wood slabs (rather than pressed composite wood fibers) that utilize heavy poured decoupage resin are highly prized by collectors for their thick, ultra-glossy "bowling alley" finish.
- Condition Drivers: Because these items are heavy and front-heavy, the resin coating is highly prone to surface scuffs, hairline spiderweb cracks from accidental drops, or yellowing from sunlight exposure. An older variant that remains perfectly clear, unyellowed, and retains its original hands without mechanical friction commands top-dollar within the vintage sports market.
