Limited Treasures Love 'Ya Dad Occasion Treasure Bear

Brand Information & History

The Limited Treasures brand (originally Limited Treasures, Inc.) was founded during the height of the late-1990s bean-bag plush craze, officially launching its production line on October 15, 1998.

• Market Competitor: The company emerged as a direct competitor to Ty's Beanie Babies. They differentiated themselves by creating themed lines rather than standard fictional characters. Their debut line in 1998 was the "Home Heroes" collection, which honored military branches, police, and firefighters.

• The "Coin Bear" Legacy: In 1999, Limited Treasures found major commercial success by partnering its plush releases with the U.S. Mint's 50 State Quarters program. They manufactured patented "State Quarter Bears" that featured a genuine uncirculated U.S. quarter embedded directly into the bear's foot. They later expanded this concept to Presidential Dollars and National Park quarters.

• Holiday & Special Occasion Lines: Alongside their coin bears, the company manufactured seasonal holiday lines, political election sets, and occasion-based gift items.
